New York Public Radio (NYPR) provides listeners with impactful independent journalism, creative audio programming, and engaging live events that are deeply rooted in New York. While recent funding cuts have threatened public media, NYPR has stood strong: continuing to deliver programming that fosters curiosity, openness, and joy while also increasing efforts to support other stations.
The NYPR team wanted its 2025 annual report to have a bold, dynamic look and feel that highlighted the hopeful theme "standing together for New York Public Radio." To capture the theme visually, I utilized contrasts: black blocks with white text – inspired by stark visuals created by NYPR to call out funding cuts and threats to free speech  are contrasted with an array of bright colors from the NYPR family of brands. The concentric circle pattern that repeats throughout represents togetherness and is a play on radio waves, a common visual element from previous NYPR annual reports. Photos featured in the report celebrate the diversity of voices and programming from NYPR and the vibrancy of New York City.
