Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) works to improve the lives of blood cancer patients through research, advocacy, and patient support. September is both Blood Cancer Awareness Month and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a critical time to engage supporters, share stories of impact, and raise funds. For Blood Cancer Awareness Month in 2025, the campaign had an added goal to introduce supporters, patients, and healthcare professionals to the organization's new brand: Blood Cancer United.
The design for email campaigns showcased two interpretations of the new brand. For Blood Cancer Awareness Month, emails featured a bold combination of bright red and dark red. For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, emails leaned into bright white, bright red, and a secondary blue palette, along with playful doodles from the organization's pediatric cancer initiative. The design ultimately serves as a vehicle for showcasing stories of patients, survivors, and advocates.
